James Bio

James Nicholas Kinney is a Global Chief AI Officer, an enterprise transformation leader, and a consequential voice at the intersection of artificial intelligence, leadership, and human behavior.

James leads the development of next-generation AI platforms and enterprise intelligence systems designed to transform how organizations predict, execute, and measure experiences, products and services through data, machine learning, AI and insights. He delivers seamless technical and behavioral fluency.

Prior to this, James was a 3 x Global Chief People Officer where he oversaw people strategy and operations across 32 countries. He helped architect large-scale organizational transformation in rapidly evolving digital innovation landscapes including winning AI agency of the year. He is widely known as “The Ad Industry’s Therapist” for his unique ability to blend tech, performance, culture, and psychology.

James is triple-certified in artificial intelligence with certifications from MIT, Wharton Executive Education, and the Chief Data and AI officer program at Carnegie Mellon University.

He has authored multiple books, including SustAIning Leadership and AI + Mental Health, and is currently developing new work focused on business application, civic impact, politics and the future of leadership in an AI-driven world. He was interviewed and cited The White House's AI Literacy program in his interview with journalist Jessica Abo.
